Online, on-demand 8-hour CME program for radiologists who need initial modality training in digital breast tomosynthesis (DBT). The Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) requires an interpreting physician to complete 8 hours of training in a new mammographic modality before interpreting it independently. This course delivers those 8 hours as 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits, with lectures and expanded tomosynthesis case presentations that include interpretation details.
Who it is for: radiologists adding DBT to their practice, breast imagers returning to DBT after a gap, and groups that need every reader trained on the modality.
What you get:
- 8.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits that document your DBT initial modality training for MQSA
- Case reads alongside expert faculty who share their observations and reasoning
- Findings seen only on DBT, and why
- Masses and calcifications, all BI-RADS categories, relevant technology, quality control
- Efficient workflows, fewer fruitless callbacks, and artifact recognition
- Tomosynthesis-guided biopsy and current technical options
- Free extra: classic Kopans lecture, "Screening Mammography Saves Lives"
Work at your own pace on your own schedule. Complete the course, then print your certificate online. The certificate shows your credit hours and completion date for your MQSA records.
In addition to CME, the program committee recommends that physicians new to DBT participate in hands-on training on DBT workstation(s) before independent clinical interpretation.
Adding breast ultrasound or breast MRI as well? See all initial modality training courses, or read how to satisfy MQSA initial modality training through CME.
