Summary:

If an interpreting physician (IP) has failed to read 960 mammographic examinations in the preceding 24 months, then the IP needs to perform 240 reads under supervision in order to comply with MQSA and resume independent mammographic interpretation in clinical practice.

Breast Imaging Modality CME Sub-Topics for MQSA and ACR. Earn a total of 27 AMA PRA Category I Credits™.

  • Breast Imaging CME: Hot Topics II required under MQSA/FDA (16 Hours)
  • 3D breast tomosynthesis (DBT) required under MQSA/FDA (8 Hours)
  • Ultrasound-guided breast biopsy required under ACR (3 Hours)

Please allow us to introduce Dr. Craig D. Korbin as one of our experienced Supervising Physicians to assist you in re-establishing your MQSA certification, and then confidently and accurately interpret mammograms in your clinical practice.

Dr. Korbin's supervision is billed separately from course registration.

Dr. Korbin completed a fellowship at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Ambulatory Women’s Imaging.  He has spent most of his professional career in busy private practices as the Chief of Radiology, and the responsible physician for mammography.  He also developed and directed the Milton Hospital Breast Care Program, and served as: The Chief Medical Officer of Team Health Radiology, Medical Executive Committee at Quincy Medical Center and Day Kimball Hospital, TeamHealth Risk Management Review Committee, and TeamHealth Medical Advisory Board.

Academically Dr. Korbin was distinguished with the Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Radiology RSNA Roentgen Resident/Fellow Research Award; was a Clinical Assistant Professor of Radiology at the Boston University School of Medicine for 8 years, and produced several publications in peer-reviewed journals.
